Cell Groups

....are our midweek cell groups meeting in members' homes in and around the parish and aim to be relationally based.

Groups have about 8-14 members on average and come in all sorts of flavours! Many are a complete mix of ages and backgrounds - people coming together as Christians in a particular locality, others are more a reflection of the life stages of their members. Groups grow naturally through friendships so that everyone can feel a sense of belonging and enjoy their participation in the group. Cells exist in order to multiply.

Most meet in the evenings, but some meet during the day - which suits mums or dads at home with young children and those who are retired or not at work in the daytime.

Why 2:42 Groups?

...we derived this name for our groups from Acts 2:42 - "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." - which neatly sums up what our groups are about as well as anchoring us in a biblical approach to small groups.

What are the Cell Values ?
What happens at a 2:42 Group?

Cell Group SocialThe groups generally meet each week during school term time and, as well as more guided activities, spend time getting to know one another, building friendships and having fun together. 'Meetings' provide a focus for the group. In many ways what is more important is what flows out of the 'meetings'. Each term time has a life planner, to link with Sunday worship.
