Young People

We believe that young people and children are fully part of St John's and increasingly involve them in the life of the church where they have a part to play both spiritually and practically. 

We run loads of different youth activities all year round so check out the information, dates and times different groups meet and feel free to come along and see for yourself what's going on.

Our groups

Get Real

We aim to Get Real with God and each other by chilling out on a Sunday morning with friends over drinks and biscuits, games, Bible discovery and a modern look at youth culture today. This group is for 11 to 14 year olds, held in the church hall, it runs during the morning service.

Get Serious

This is a follow up to Get Real where those who want to go deeper with God can do so. This runs every other Tuesday from 7.30 till 8.45 at Alison’s house. There are always plenty of doughnuts!!!!

Get Mixin'

Held once a month the Get Realers from St John's meet up with their friends from Get Real at St Luke's and go out for the evening. Bowling is a favourite.

14+ & 16+ Cell groups

These are small groups that run and combine the food with the going deeper. Still a chance to meet with friends, these groups are a great place to explore what it means to be a Christian teen today and disciple of Jesus. For those aged 14+ the group meets 7.30 till 9.00 on a Tuesday, and the 16+ cell also meets on a Tuesday evening from 8pm till 10pm. The 16+ cell group also get together after the evening service on a Sunday and heads over to Sue’s for cake.
